Frequently asked questions
How do I merge PDF files?+
Drop your PDFs into the upload area, drag the rows into the order you want (or use the arrow buttons), then press Merge. Your combined PDF downloads immediately.
Is there a limit on the number of files?+
You can merge up to 20 PDF files at a time, with a 100 MB ceiling per file. Most real-world documents are far below that.
Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?+
No. Everything runs inside your browser using pdf-lib. Your files never leave your device — you can even disconnect from the internet once the page has loaded.
Can I change the page order?+
Yes. Drag a row up or down to reorder, or use the arrow buttons next to each file. The preview updates instantly.
Does merging reduce quality?+
No. Pages are copied byte-for-byte from the source PDFs into the merged document, so images and text look exactly as they did in the originals.
What about password-protected PDFs?+
Encrypted PDFs are not supported. Remove the password in the application that created the file, then merge the unlocked copy here.
